adventures

a few of the adventures we've been on so far...lots of camping, some bike riding & hiking, and one backpacking trip.  there's something about being outside & getting away from the everyday monotony of life that is VERY refreshing.

finally....

the wedding was amazing!! it felt like a whirlwind...i can't believe it's over! :)  everything was magical.

location: maravilla gardens in camarillo (stunning garden site)

florist: our pro florist/friend Kristina. she is currently working for Your Wedding Day Magazine.

videography: ryan's best friend (also one of the groomsmen) is Ventura County's top videographer. check it out. skylinevideography.com (they are THE best)

cake: red velvet cupcakes by our baker & friend, brit. deeelish.

favors: chinese fortune cookie with wedding date inside. (ties with the proposal)

dj: our grammy-award winning  friend, jeff.

weddings & romance. it's the beginning of the happily-ever-afters...


but i find that i am having a hard time picking out the essentials for my wedding:
have yet to find my dress.  (or should i say THE dress)
have yet to decide on flowers. elegant & classy or fun & whimsical ?
have yet ordered the favors. expensive & chic or handmade-ish ?


but so far i have nailed:
invitations. check
location. check
bridesmaids. check
love. check
butterflies in tummy. check
going over the original budget. check


weddings. it's all very romantic ... :)

i was reminded yesterday (by a very wise woman ) of the importance of love & the power of forgiveness.  love is selfless and self-sacrificing, it keeps no record of wrong...it's everything our hearts long for and it is all we truly need.
